Co-Ownership Program

Co-ownership means that your expected puppy will be part of our breeding program. In simple terms, you will own the dog and Blazing Stars will own the breeding rights.

Details on Co-ownership :

You are the owner/guardian and Blazing Stars is the co-owner/breeder. Both names appear on the CKC certificate. Puppies are sold at pet cost. Once the dog turns 2 years old, health testing will be done to determine if the dog is a good candidate to keep for breeding purposes. All health testing related to breeding will be at the co-owner/breeder’s expense. If the dog does not pass health testing, he/she will be sterilized at owner/guardian expense. Only the co-owner/breeder has the right to breed the dog. The co-owner/breeder, if available, accepts to take the dog free of charge when the owner is away on vacation. Discount is given to co-owner/breeder on grooming. All expenses including food, veterinarian fees, grooming, education, sterilization are the owner/guardian responsibility.

Male: Will be brought to co-owner/breeder location for breeding. The owner/guardian will receive compensation after each breeding.

Female: Will be brought to co-owner/breeder location for breeding. The co-owner/breeder can use the dog for 3 breeding’s in her lifetime (if her health permits it). Birth will take place at the breeder’s location, she will be brought 4 days prior birth and until she weans her puppies (5-7weeks). The owner/guardian will be able to visit mom and pups during her stay. The owner/guardian will receive compensation per puppy sold.

Do you live no more than 2 hours from Blazing Stars?
Are all your canine pets on your property spayed or neutered?
Do you own a home and have a fully fenced back yard?
For females: Could you be away from your pet for 8 weeks to whelp and raise her puppies at Blazing Stars?
