It all started in 2014, Natalie, started her journey by purchasing her very first Bernese Mountain dog, Piper. Then Willow, Koda, Eko and Bear came along within 3 years. She started her dream of breeding dogs and was delt with unfortunate bad luck with health and difficult pregnancies. ​

During that time me, Jessica, was still studying in high school and then college. I graduated from College Boreal as a Veterinary technician and worked in clinic and shelter medicine for a total of 4 years before starting my own business. I additionally took online class for grooming and training at the International Career School of Canada (ICS Canada). ​

We have been breeding registered purebred  BMD dogs successfully for the past 8 years. Learning new things every year. We started showing our dog in 2023 and love the experience, who doesn't like to show off their fur babies !!! Our dogs are health tested for DM, SOD1-B, vWD, Hips, Elbows, Heart and eyes. We are members of the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club), BMDCC (Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada), BMDCO (Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario) and the OKC (Ottawa Kennel Club). Our dogs are sold under non-breeding agreements and have puppy contract stating that we will take back any Blazing Stars puppy at any stage in their life if the owner cannot care for them anymore. We love our dogs deeply and don't want to see our offspring in shelters.  ​

 

We started to expand in 2023 when I opened my grooming and in-home boarding business. We also started distributing RawChoice products.
